619 Squadron - 19 juillet 1944 - Villers-Saint-Genest Le cimetière communal de Villers-Saint-Genest contient 4 tombes d'aviateurs appartenant au 619 Squadron (Royal Canadian Air Force) décédés le 19 juillet 1944. En mission sur les installations ferroviaires de Revigny-sur-Ornain (Marne), le Lancaster LM 640 est touché. Le quadrimoteur est en flammes lorsqu'il s'écrase sur le territoire du village de Villers-Saint-Genest dans le sud du département de l'Oise, à 8 kilomètres à l'Est de Nanteuil-le-Haudouin. L'appareil, brûlant furieusement, s'est fendu en deux et une partie a explosé, provoquant sa désintégration complète. Quatre corps ont été récupérés, mais trois n'ont pas été retrouvés.
