Le bombardier s'écrase route de Doullens à Coulonvillers à 15 kilomètres au ENE d'Abbeville.
Deux membres de l'équipage ont pu s'extraire de la carlingue et sont faits prisonniers :

William WILSON, mitrailleur, RAF, prisonnier, serial number : 533348 - né le 3 juillet 1918 à Yiewsley, Middlesex (UK). Blessé, il est capturé presque immédiatement le jour même. Il sera envoyé par la suite dans un camp de prisonniers en Allemagne.
